Dan,
Why do I always have sex dreams about people I wouldn't ever want to have sex with? It's just gross.

Em,
Dreams are a common way for the subconscious mind to communicate with the conscious mind but, unfortunately, the subconscious mind is unable to comprehend the concept of language. This inability to use simple language to communicate forces the subconscious mind to use visual symbols, and dreams are the best conduit between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind.
Dream analysis goes back to Greek times when dreams were though to be messages from the divine. Early works on the subject include Oneirocritica by Artemidorus in the 2nd century, and the most famous work on the subject is The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud.
With the aid of computers, psychologists have begun mapping the human symbology of the dream world in much the same way that geneticists have been mapping the human gene with the Human Genome Project. Many of these symbols have been known for decades, such as a snake symbolizing sex or a car battery symbolizing shoes, but early psychologists made the error of believing since A=B then B=C. For example, many believed that because a snake symbolized sex that sex must symbolize snakes. Dr. Frank G. Pitts' study, Snakes, Sex, and You, busted the dream symbology world wide open by demonstrating symbols could not simply be flipped. In a study of 1,408 herpetologists from around the world, Dr. Pitts found that dreams about sex were no more frequent than among those in other professions.
Recent breakthroughs have led to a dream symbology mapping that can be quite definitive when applied to re-occurring dreams. Using this map, I can tell you that sex in dreams does not symbolize sex at all. It symbolizes donuts or, to be more precise, eating donuts. A sex dream is your subconscious mind trying to tell you that it wants you to get some donuts when you wake up. Sex dreams about the same person, usually a spouse or partner, generally refer to glazed donuts, while sex dreams about random people demonstrate the mind's desire to taste a variety of donuts.
In your case you have been dreaming about sex with individuals with whom you have a certain distaste. This does not, however, mean that you want donuts of a type that you find distasteful. Rather, it symbolizes a deep oppression within you about donuts in general. You are, simply put, not a donut eater, but your subconscious wants you to be a donut eater and is trying its best to turn you into a donut eater.
My advice: Go get some donuts.
Hope that helps,
Dan
